NBA Playoffs: Golden State Takes Game 1 From Houston Rockets By 104-100 In West. Conference Semi-final Series

Golden State made it through a high-energy match with Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference semi-finals and won by 104 - 100 with Kevin Durant dropping a game-high scoring of 35 points, three assists, and five rebounds.
Warriors deployed a tactics to crowd their opponents' three-point shooters and that actually worked out for them with James Harden showing frustration and Chris Paul was technically taking out - his frustration led to bagging two technical during the game.
Harden and Eric Gordon had kept Rockets' hope alive as they kept abreast of Golden State in scoring with just two points adrift before Steve Curry connected a game-wrecking three-pointer and widened the lead by five points with 24.4 seconds remaining.
Harden made a brilliant three-point attempt to tie the scoring when rockets were three points down but failed to dunk on Draymond Green's challenge.
James Harden who raked in 35 points, six assists, and four rebound, expressed his dissatisfaction with the game for not been given fair chances.
He said in postmatch interview that, "Call the game how it's supposed to be called and that's it. And I'll live with the results. But especially we all know what happened a few year back with Kawhi [Leonard]...Just call the game the way it's supposed to be called and we'll live with the results. It's plain and simple."
However, Curry who finished the game with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, held a different stance to Harden and believed his team did a good job on him and other Rockets' star players during the game.
"It just depends on how they want to call it and if it's tight or lose," Curry said and added " We did a good job on James tonight in just trying to maintain our space."
