Monte Carlos Masters 2019: Rafael Nadal Beats Grigor Dimitrov To Reach Quarter-finals

Rafael Nadal progressed into the quarter-finals and extended his dominance against Grigor Dimitrov by 12-1 in ATP FedEx head-to-head count having defeated him in straight sets by 6-4, 6-1.
The top seed saved two break points to move into a 3-1 lead against the hard fighting Bulgarian who came back strong but dropped the first set to the Spaniard. Nadal breezed through in the second set converting two break points for an easy win in straight sets.
"I am happy the way that I am playing," says Nadal in his bidding for record-setting 12th Monte Carlos title "First matches after an injury, that's always a tough thing to come back. AT the same time, different surface, on clay after almost a year. So, that's a good start for me on the clay court season."
In the quarterfinal. he will face Guido Pella who defeated Marco Cecchinato in three sets 6-4,4-6, 6-4.
