Italian Serie A: Cristiano Ronaldo Makes History As Juventus Are Crowned Champions After Beating Fiorentina 2-1

Juventus have been crowned as Italian Serie A champions for eighth time consecutive time after a 2-1 home win over Fiorentina.
Whilst Juve extended their title dominance in the league to the 35th - the biggest all-time biggest in Serie A - Cristiano Ronaldo also, on his debut at the club, becomes the first player ever to lift Premier League, Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner did not score a goal in the game but inspired the winning goal as Alejo Pezzella deflected his cross in for an own goal in 53rd minutes.
Meanwhile, Alex Sandro equalised Fiorentino's lead with a flick header in 35th minutes after Nikola Milenkovic had opened the scoring for the visitors in 6th minutes.

Juve could have clinched the title last week but an away 2-1 defeat to SPAL shifted their title fate to this weekend after they had dropped out of the Champions League with a defeat on an aggregate of 2-3 to AFC Ajax in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Ronaldo expressed his delight at the victory saying "I'm really happy that I have won the Italian title in my first season. Of Course, it did not go well in the Champion League."
Ronaldo won three consecutive Champions League with his previous club Real Madrid. This season, he will be missing the final for the first time in three years.
