Idris Elba Replaces Will Smith In 'The Suicide Squad' Sequel
James Gunns, writer and director of 'Suicide Squad' will be casting Idris Elba as Deadshot in the oncoming sequel, scheduled for release on 6th August 2021.
This is so as the Briton and Dark Tower lead actor will be a replacement for Will Smith, who would not be able to reprise his role as David Ayer. Smith is believed to have been replaced for issues with conflicting schedule.
As already known, that Smith has two at least two film on the way - Alaadin cast as Genie and his action comedy film with Martin Lawrence 'Bad Boys 3', working out his schedule for a role in Suicide Squad might to be coming to term.
In order not to portray any form of crisis going on between Smith and the studios, Elba is reportedly giving a new role to play and new team which have been anticipated to be Dave Bautista from Guardian of the Galaxy.
However, Gunns is also anticipated to be working with new team in the sequel but Movie Web revealed that Viola Davis will be back for his role as Amanda Waller.
