Champions League Last 8: Fernando Llorente's Goal Sends Tottenham To Semi-finals As Manchester City Are Out On Aggregate

Despite all efforts by Manchester City to stay in the competition with 4-3 second-leg tie win over Tottenham at Etihad Stadium, Spurs made it through to the semi-finals on away goal (aggr. 4-4).
It was a hard-fought match for both teams and City seemed set for the semis after Sergio Aguero projected a right footed shot past Lloris in 59th minutes, but Fernando Llorente's controversial winning goal ruined their chances after VAR awarded the goal.
However, it was a brilliant start for City with a nice finish for an opening goal from Raheem Sterling in just 4 minutes into the match.
City soon trailed Spurs as Son scored a brace in a space of two minutes to put the Spurs ahead by 1-2, but Bernando Silva equalised the lead before Sterling struck again in 21st minutes and City back in the lead by 3-2.
Aguero's fourth goal just on an hour of play was to their disappointment wiped off by Fernando who tapped Kieran Trippier's cross following a corner 73rd minutes.
Spurs will face in the semi-finals AFC Ajax who eliminated Real Madrid on the aggregate of 5-3.
