Real Madrid To Rehire Zinedine Zidane As Santiago Solari Is Set Leave
Zinedine Zidane is set to return to his former club Real Madrid to replace Santiago Solari as the team's new manager.
The Frenchman, 46, resigned from his position at the club last season having won three Champions League titles in a row, and was rumoured to be aiming at continuing his career in Premier League preferably at Manchester United.
As Real's performance continued to spiral down with no hope of winning a title this season - they are out of Champions League, Copa del Rey and are trailing by 14 points behind their bitter rivals Barcelona in La Liga - the club's management keenly searching for a suitable replacement for Solari.
Real's board of directors reportedly are set to meet to discuss the Argentine future at the club and possibly dismiss him to re-appoint the Zidane as the new manager.
It was speculated last week that Bernabue side is considering hiring ex Manchester United manager jose Mourinho, according to a statement from its former president Ramon Calderon. As it is now, that rumour may not materialise because Solari might be dismissed in matter of days to be replaced by his predecessor.
