Premier League: Romelu Lukaku Leads Manchester United To Snap 3-2 Win Over Southampton
Romelu Lukaku led Manchester United on a comeback to Southampton at Old Trafford by scoring a late winner to settle the at 3-2 victory.
United was stunned with Yan Valery opening goal for Saint with a shot from 25-yard in the first half.
After the break, Andreas Pereira responded with an outside the box finished to equalise for United and minutes later Lukaku added in the second goal dribbling through two defenders before slamming the ball home.
The Belgian hit the ball into the net the second time for United's third goal to shove Saints behind after James Ward-Prowse had equalised with a superb finish from a free-kick.
It could have been worse for Saints had Paul Pogba converted the spot-kick awarded to United Stuart Armstrong's foul.on Marcus Rashford in the injury time.
However, United maintained their position in top fourth - a position that seemed as a dream until the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December.
United are yet to lose a Premier league game at home under the Norwegian as the team are up in fourth position in the table with 58 points with Arsenal and Chelsea trailing behind in fifth and sixth position respectively.
