Kanye West Sued By Music Company For Dispute Over Deal Signed

Kanye West and a music company named EMI, have headed to court over dispute on terms of contract he signed with them in 2003.
In the lawsuit filed at the federal court, EMI is suing the Pablo rapper over the claims that the publishing deal he signed with them is personal service contract since it lasts more than 7 years as stipulated in the law and it is no more bidding on him.
According to TMZ, the record label is arguing that the deal is governed by New York law and not California's where 7 years legal limit for a deal is bidfing as claimed by the rapper.
It also stated that Ye was paid "millions of dollars" after he signed to a multiple extension publishing deal in 2003 which was govern by New York.
EMI demands that the court stop Ye from pressing further on his claims in the lawsuit he filed against them and uphold their petitions against him.
