Dubai Tennis Championships 2019: Roger Federer Eases Through To Final
Roger Federer moved closer to extending his title dominance at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships after beating Borna Coric in the semi-finals on Friday at the Aviation Club by 6-2, 6-2.
The Croatian stood no chance with Federer who won four break points in the opener to ease through the set. Coric was no better in the second set and the world no. 3 served an ace to close the match after 62 minutes of play.
Asked about how he felt about his third match win against Coric in five ATP Fedex meetings, he described it as "definitely by far the best one" of the week.
The Swiss is currently the biggest all-time winner at the competition having won seven titles and is also set for his 100th single ATP title when he takes on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final on Sunday.
The Next Gen ATP final champion, Stefanos, rallied from a set down to eliminate French veteran Gael Monfils by 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(4).
