Champions League Last 16: Tottenham Are Through To Quarter-finals after Beating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 (Aggr. 4-0)
Harry Kane made it a complete victory for Tottenham who are through to the quarter-finals, after he scored the winning goal to beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 (aggr. 4-0) in the second-leg tie of the UEFA Champions League Last 16 at Signal Iduna Park.
Already, Spurs had the upoer hands having won their first leg tie by 3-0. Nonetheless, it was less expected of the Bundesliga side which lost their previous two encounters to the English side to undo the deficit.
Harry put Spurs in the lead when Moussa Issoko found him with a through box inside the box and wasted no time to finish the chance off in 48th minutes.
Meanwhile, the German side was close to scoring through Mario Gotze and Julian Weigl, but Spurs' goal keeper Hugo Lloris denied both of getting the ball in.
Tottenham are the first English team to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season - also their first experience in Last 8 since 2011. On Wednesday, Liverpool will travel to Bayern Munich and Manchester City will host Schalke for their second-leg tie meetings.
