Champions League Last 16: Sadio Mane Propels Liverpool Into Quarter-finals Beating Bayern Munich 3-1

Liverpool have booked their place in the quarter-finals after claiming 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg tie of the Champions League Last 16 match at Allianz Arena. 

Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk led the scoring to propel Liverpool through to Last 8, and wrecked Bayern's ninth attempts to make it pass Last 16 since 2010/11 - In first leg tie, Bayern made away with a goalless draw at Anfield stadium. 

Bayern's elimination started when Mane brilliantly dazzled two defenders in the box and clipped the ball in the net for the opening goal in 26th minutes. 

The scoring was later levelled when Bayern's Serge Gnarbry's shot bounced out Joel Matip's chin and landed in the net for an own goal in 39th, but Reds regained lead with van Dijk's towering header from James Milner's cross after the break. 

Mane put Liverpool in comfortable lead by responded to Mo Salah's cross from the right flank with a header and sent the ball straight into the net for Reds' third goal. 

Having won the game, Liverpool joined the other three Premier League clubs in the quarter-finals. The draw for the Last 8 will be announced on Friday.
