Brooklyn Nets Oust Lakers Out Of Play-offs Race

Los Angeles Lakers' streak continued in a downward spiral with no chances of making the play-offs and LeBron James will be missing that for the first in 14 years.
The four-time NBA MVP led the team to their fifth winless game run in a row to Brooklyn Nets by 111-106 on Fridays at Staples Centre.
Lebron raked up 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists but JaVale McGee led the stats putting up 33 points and rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season.
After fighting hard down the stretch trailing Nets by 109-106, LeBron was off for a three-point when he tripped on Jarret Jones' challenge and the ball rolled out of touch with 22.8 seconds remaining.
He again set up Kyle Kuzma for a three-point shot but the Michigan native failed to notch up the points. Consequently, the game went Nets' way for their second win on a road trip.
Disappointingly, Lakers are officially going to miss the play-offs for sixth consecutive season on LeBron's debut season at the team.
Speaking after match, LeBron revealed his desire to be in the play-offs with the team but suggested a good trade would make a huge difference if the franchise can make a successful one.
"Obviously, I would love for the team to be in the post-season...But right now, it's not the hand I was dealt, so you play the hand that you were dealt until the dealer shufflea the card and you're dealt another hand."
