UEFA Europa League: Arsenal Breeze Through To Last 16, Beat BATE Borisov 3-0 (Aggr. 3-1)
Arsenal have sent BATE Borisov out of the UEFA Europa League having won by 3-0 (an aggregate of 3-1) and are through to the Last 16 of the competition.
Compared to their first leg tie which they lost 1-0 to the Belarus side, Gunners played differently and controlled the game through to book their place in Last 16.
Bate conceded the opening goal from its own Zakhar Volkov, who tapped in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's cross in 6th minutes and Shkodran Mustafi's added in the second goal heading in Granit Xhaka's corner.
Arsenal completed the scoring through Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who headed in a corner from Xhaka just on 60th minutes of play.
Meanwhile, Arsenal could have conceded a goal to Bate just after the opening goal when Stanislaw Drahum attempted a shot from close range, but Gunners have Stephan Lichtsteiner to thank for stopping ball from going in.
Arsenal will know what team they will be playing against when the draw for last 16 will be announced on Friday.
