Super Bowl 53: New England Patriots Beat Los Angeles Rams For Sixth Title Win
Despite strong defensive play by Los Angeles Rams, they could not stop New England Patriots from winning their record sixth Super Bowl titles.
Patriots have tied up with Pittsburgh Steelers on record set for biggest Super Bowl title winners, giving its quarter-back Tom Brady his sixth championship title wins with the franchise.
The scores were even until Patriots' Stephen Gostkowski through 42-yard field goal in the second quarter. That was followed by Rams' Greg Zuerlin who levelled it up with 53-yard field goal in the third.
Sony Michael put Patriots back in the lead with the final's only touchdown after Tom Brady set Rob Gronkowski for a burrow with a 34-yard pass.
Gostkowski sealed the match with field goal from 41-yard after Sony Michael and Rex Burkhead burrowed into the Rams' by 33-yard.
With a total of 16 points scored in the final, Patriots and Rams recorded the lowest-scoring points in a Super Bowl history, upsetting previous lowest set by Miami and Washington (14-7) in 1973.
Patriots' Tom Brady praised Rams for a great performance saying, "They [Rams] played so well, their defence was great, they made it tough on every play."
