NYPD Open Investigations Into Claims That An Officer Threatened 50 Cent's Life
The New York Police Department (NYPD) has opened investigations into allegations levelled against a precinct commanding officer for instructing his men to shoot dead on sight rapper/film producer Curtis Jackson otherwise known as 50 Cent.
The officer at the centre of the allegation is Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, who in June last year was accused of instructing his men to shoot 50 Cent dead on sight during a roll call at 72nd Precinct. Meanwhile, the 'Power' producer was meant to attending NYPD boxing match taking place in Bronx.
After a report on the investigation surfaced online on Sunday, the 'In Da Club' rapper in response to the development wrote in an update on Instagram, "I take this threat very seriously and I'm consulting with my legal counsel regarding my options moving forward. I am concerned that i was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD."
Gonzalez's alleged comment was after he accused the rapper for calling him out on his page for raiding a popular club in New York which owner is an acquaintance of the rapper.
However, the NYPD officer has come out to dismiss giving an instruction to his men to 'shoot" the rapper on sight, but alleged it was him whose safety was putting on the line by the rapper when he used his famous catchphrase "Get The Strap" in a caption to his picture on his page.
