LeBron James Puts Up 33 Points Shush Pelicans
Anthony Davies could not undo Pelicans' defeat to Los Angeles Lakers as LeBron James powered his team through to win game by 125-119 at the Staples Centre.
Davies was anticipated to be traded to Lakers but that did not materialise given the reason that Magic Johnson, Lakers President, failed to make a deal with him before deadline. Nevertheless, he was cheered on by Lakers fans on entry onto the court.
Both sides played through until late the first half when Reggie Bullock posted in the first three-point basket and Frank Jackson responded with Pelicans' first three to movitate his team to snatch the lead from Lakers before they were outscored by the end of the first half.
LeBron led team to stay ahead in the scores putting up three threes in the third quarter for Lakers. Whilst Davies watch the rest of the game on the bench in fourth quarter, LeBron hit a late 3-point with 31 seconds remaining to sink Pelicans as they improve to 30-31.
Six Lakers players finished the game with double points led by their veteran forward LeBron with 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Julius Randle led the scoring with 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Anthony Davies followed him with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
