Jose Mourinho Accepts To Pay Spanish Government £1.75M In Fine For Tax Evasion

Jose Mourinho has agreed with the Spanish authorities to pay the sum of €2 million (£1.75m) fine in his tax evasion case for which he also has been given a year prison sentence.
The former Manchester United manager will not served the prison sentence anyways, given that the Spanish Law allows first time offenders to get a waiver for sentences under two year.
During a crackdown carried out by the authorities, Mourinho was amongst high profile sportsmen loke  Lionel Messi, Xabi Alonso, Marcelo Vierrie, Neymar Jr. and Cristiano Ronaldo, who in the league were found to be evading taxes for personal gains.
The revelation was made after Mourinho had left Real Madrid to Premier League, first back to Chelsea and then Manchester United where he was made redundant days after Red Devil's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool
In his three seasons spell at Real Madrid, it was found out that the Portuguese, 56, failed to disclose his image rights revenues between the year 2011 and 2012, taxes for which was reportedly said to worth €3.3 million.
Just as Mourinho, his former team player Cristiano Ronaldo was ordered to pay €18.8 million (£16.5m) for tax evasion and a year prison sentence which was waived for him.
Same as Barcelona attacking midfielder Lionel Messi who paid €250,000 for dodging €4.1 million in tax. the Ballon d'Or winner's father was also found guilty of defrauding the government.
The Argentine's was sentenced to 21 months in prison but since it under two years, it was waived for him - his father got 15 months sentence that also was waived. In the end, Messi coughed out the amount paid in fine for himself and his father with interest accrued.
