Europa League Round of 32: Arsenal Stunned By 1-0 Loss To BATE Borisov
Arsenal had a disappointing game against BATE Borisov which won 1-0 at Borisov Arena in the first-leg tie of the UEFA Europa League Round of 32.
The Belarusian side held Gunners off and stunned the visiting side with the opening goal from Stanislav Dragun's header to a free-kick from Igor Stasevich just on the 45th minutes.
Alexandra Lacazette attempted to equalised the lead for Arsenal, tapping home Kolasinac's cross but was ruled out for being in offside position.
The situation compounded for Arsenal when Lacazette was sent off for rough tackle on Aleksandar Filipovic with four minutes remaining.
Having the game, it happened to be the first game victory ever recorded by BATE against Arsenal in the continental game as they ended the English side's unbeaten run in the competition this season.
Arsenal will host BATE at Emirates Stadium for the second-leg tie of the UEFA Europa League Round of 32 on February 21.
