Universal's 'Glass' Dethrones Kevin Hart's 'The Upside' For Top Spot At The Box Office
'The Upside' dropped to the second place at the box office as Universal thriller 'Glass' takes the top spot with a domestic gross of $40. 58 million on its opening weekend, whilst the Kevin Hart-starring film grossed $15.67 million in its second weekend.
The performance recorded by the Samuel Jackson-starring thriller film in the domestic market is more than double its budget. In the international market, it hauled in $48.5 million bringing its global gross to a whopping $89 million.
Coming in the third place is FUNimation films' animation 'Dragon Ball Super: Broly' which took in $10.65 million from the domestic market on its debut weekend.
Jason Momoa's Aquaman spiraled down to fourth place raking in $10.3 million dollars from the domestic market in its fifth weekend. However, it remained Warner Bros most successful film of all-time with a worldwide gross of $1.06 billion.
