Manchester United Shorlisted Gareth Southgate For Managerial Appointment

Gareth Southgate has reportedly been shortlisted as one of the favorites Manchester United are considering to appoint as its permanent manager in summer.
Since does not seem as Mauricio Pochettino is ready not to leave Tottenham Hotspur in summer, United are considering others options available to them and amongst them is the England national team manager.
Ole Gunnar Solkjaer who replaced Jose Mourinho as interim manager following the dismissal of the Portuguese in December, is also amongst names shortlist for the job as it is becoming clear to United that the Argentine is not willing to leave Spurs in summer.
Still, Red Devils' chances of landing Gareth at Old Trafford is uncertain as his five-year contract with the English FA ends after the 2022 Wolrd Cup in Qatar with an option to renew the contract.
Gareth led England Three Lions' to finish fourth at the 2018 World Cup in Russia which was the country's first in the semi-finals in 18 years.
However, should it happen that Gareth decided to stay with England, United are reportedly linked to former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as another favorite name to its manager.
The Frenchman won the 1998 World Cup with his country in France in his days as a player and as club manager led Real Madrid to three consecutive Champions League title.
