Lakers Concede Game To Timberwolves As Winless Run Peaks At 5-In-6 Game

Poorly manned Los Angeles Lakers' winless run continue after losing their fifth game to Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night since LeBron James' injury spell.
During the game that was controlled through by Wolves, Karl-Anthony Town and Andrew Wiggins led the scoring for the home side with 56 points combined as they beat Lakers by 108-86.
Lakers have been struggling to find their best form since LeBron James was ruled out for strained groin during their game against Golden State Warriors on Boxing Day. It is getting worse now that Kyle Kuzma joined in on the bench with a back injury.
Luke Walton believes the team veterans' absence is an opportunity which presents younger players the chance to take up bigger challenges in the team than they used to.
"We've been missed a lot of the season, really. But it's a chance for players to have bigger role, more opportunity, more responsibility and that normally grows young players quicker," says Walton.
Josh Hart who finished the game with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, reckoned with Walton's position on the team's situation and implore his teammates to seize the chance for them to mature into bigger players.
"This is our chance to be more vocal as leaders, time for us to grow and mature as players and know how to handle certain situations," says Hart.
