Klay Thompson Ties Ty Lawson's Record Set For 3-Point In Warriors 130-119 Win Over Lakers
Warriors keep streak on their trip to Staples Centre by beating weak Lakers by 130-119 for their eighth game victory in a row, with Klay Thompson set new NBA record converting first 10 3-point attempts enroute 44 points scored during the game.
That feat reached by Thompson tied with previous record set by former Denver Nuggets star Ty Lawson in 2011 when he scored knocked down 10 straight 3-points.
Right after the break, Warriors went on the offensive to build a 30-point lead over Lakers with Thompson hitting 10-in-11 3-point attempts.
Lakers stepped up after Steve Curry tripped in the field. Yet, they couldn't get hold down Warriors from heading for the victory with 19-point lead.
"That was hard. That's hard to do," says Thompson who led the scoring with 44 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists "When you got the hot hand, you're just looking for that little ounce of space, because all you need is an inch or two. That thing is just flicking off your wrist so easy."
