Kevin Hart's Film 'The Upside' Tops With $19.5 Million At The Box Office As Aquaman Crosses Billion Dollar Mark

Kevin Hart-starring film 'The Upside' on its debut weekend raked in $19.59 million in gross from the domestic market and dethroned Aquaman to top at the box office.
Last year in September, the comedian starring film Night School claimed the top spot at the box office on its debut, and despite turning down host 2019 Oscar Academy Awards, The Upside followed in the stead of its predecessor by making the No. 1 spot on its opening weekend.
However, there is good news coming from DC Extended Universe as its Jason Momoa starring film Aquaman past the one billion dollar mark to become the studios all-time biggest-grossing.
Aquaman dropped to second place behind The Upside hauling in $17.26 million on its fourth weekend, bringing its domestic gross to a total of $287.86 million.
In the international market, the James Wan-directed film has made a total $732.4 million in gross and adding that to its domestic earnings so far, it totaled at $1.02 billion.
Aquaman started off with the lowest opening weekend domestic gross in DC extended Universe history, now it is the studios biggest ever grossing film in history.
