Jose Mourinho Is Set To Return To Real Madrid
Jose Mourinho turned down an offer presented to him to return to Benfica where he started his coaching career, but there seemed to be a better opportunity awaiting him in La Liga.
Chances are the Portuguese, 55, would return to Real Madrid which he left to join Chelsea and then Manchester United where he was sacked after leading the club to its worst start to Premier League season in recent times.
Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari is currently struggling to revamp the team since he took over from Julen Lopetegui who was sacked for poor performance in October.
The situation is getting worse at Real as the team which won three consecutive Champions League title under Zinedine Zidane were stunned by 2-0 home defeat on Sunday. Santiago might soon follow in tge stead of Lopetegui if the team's poor performance persist.
Now that Real are fifth in the table and are behind their arch rivals and leaders Barcelona with 10 points, a Paddy Power source believes that situation is suitable to pave the way for Mourinho's return to the club he left for Chelsea in 2013.
"With Santiago Solari seemingly on the brink of the sack, we believe Jose could be heading to a hotel suite in Madrid as soon as this month,"says spokesman of bookmaker Paddy Power.
