James Harden Maintains 40-Point Scoring Streak, Ties Shaquille O'neal's Record As Rockets Pass Knicks By 114-110

James Harden singlehandedly led Houston Rockets to  beat New York Knicks 110-114 with double-digits of 61 points and 15 rebounds, first of its kind since 2000 after Shaquille O'neal who scored 61 points and 23 rebounds for Los Angeles Lakers against their neighbours Los Angeles Clippers.
Harden finished the games with a new career-high of 61 points as he extended his 40-point scoring streak of the season to 11 games.
The reigning MVP title holder knocked down 36 basket points in the first half for Rockets which trailed Knicks by 58-65. Much of the third quarter favour Rockets with 12-points lead into the fourth quarter.
Knicks were close to making away with the victory as Rockets slacked and lost the lead to trail again by a point, but Eric Gordon posted a 3-point shot than put them back ahead (112-110) then Harden sealed game with late dunk with 3.8 second remaining to play.
During the game, Harden attempted 22-in-25 free throws and attempted 20 threes - never before has a player make these efforts in NBA history - in his 21 consecutive 30-point game of the season.
Following Harden in the scoring stats is Knicks' Allonso Tier who finished with double-digits of 31 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
