James Harden Inspired Rockets To Beat Memphis Grizzlies Scoring New Career-High Of 57 Points
James Harden put up a new career-high of 57 points to lead Houston Rockets past Memphis Grizzlies at home on Monday night.
Rockets led the scoring in both halves, but most points came from James who put up 36-points in first half and the rest after the break as the team recovered from their 116-109 defeat to Orlando Magic on Sunday.
Having scored his 14th 40+ points streak of the season, the reigning MVP holder is set to upset previous record set by Wilt Chamberlain who scored 30+ points for 20 consecutive games in 1962.
Speaking after the game, James complained about his teammates inability to find the basket enough leaving him to the task saying, "I don't know if it was an emotional life [to have scored 57 points]...but I know it's crunchtime in the sense that we've got three starters out and guys have got to pick up the slack."
