EFL Carabao Cup: Tottenham Beat Chelsea 1-0 In Semi-final First Leg
Tottenham are half-way through to the final of the Carabao Cup courtesy of Harry Kane, who converted a penalty for the side to beat Chelsea 1-0 in the semi-finals first leg at Wembley Stadium.
Chelsea let the game slid of to Spurs when its keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga brought down Harry Kane in the box. The challenge was ruled foul and a penalty given after the referee consulted the VAR and Harry converted the spot-kick for Spurs.
Before the break, N'Golo Kante and Hudson-Odoi on different ocassions came close to getting an equalizer for Chelsea, unfortunately the balls caught the bar.
The game ended in Spurs favourite which put them in the advantage ahead of the second leg and Harry recorded his 160th goal for his team making him Spurs' fourth all-time top goalscorer.
Both side would meet on 24th January for the second leg at Stanford Bridge Stadium, then Maurizio Sarri would need to fight to booking a place for Chelse in the final as he bids for his first title withthe club.
