Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic Links For A Move To Chelsea In Summer
The Croatian is deemed to be a suitable replacement for exited midfielder Cesc Fabregas who joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco early in January, according to a Spanish media Sport.
Rakitic do not really have intentions to leave Nou Camp as he claims to be having his best moments at the club, but there are concerns over his future at the club even if he intends to stay because Barcelona recently signed
Frenkie de Long from Ajax and are linked with Adrien Rabiot.
These two players raised fears that Barcelona might want to get rid of him anyways to enable them to be able to soend big in summer.
Speaking his links with Chelsea, the 30-year-old revealed his interest in his club saying, "If anything has to change, we will speak. I have a lot of confidence [in Barcelona]. I know what I can give. I know who i am. I want to be here and, if I can renew, to be here for even more year."
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is understood to be keen on filling the gap left in his squad by Fabregas and his dream of landing Rakitic in Stanford Bridge might come true, as Sport pointed out that "Barca are clear...that there will be very juicy exit options for the player" by the end of the season.
Arsenal and Manchester United are amongst Premier League clubs which have joined in the race for the midfielder as revelead by Sport.
