Australian Open 2019: Roger Federer And Rafael Nadal Through To Second Round

Rafael Nadal and his Swiss counterpart Roger Federer won their opening round match and are both into the second round of the tournament in Melbourne.
Title holder, Federer claimed straight three sets to eliminate Denis Istomin by 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the opening match on Monday. He is meeting the Uzbek for the seventh time in his career and has maintained cleansheet with him.
In earlier draw, world no. 2 Rafael Nadal fought through a tie-break in the third set to knock James Duckworth out in straight sets by 6-3, 6-4, 7-5.
Federer, a six-time champion, will face Britain's Dan Evans in next round and Nadal will meet Australian player Matthew Ebden who defeated Jan-Lennard Strutt after four sets by 1-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
