Andy Murray Reveals Plan To Retire After Australian Open

Andy Murray's tennis career could come to its end after Australian Open following a statement made by the Briton on Thursday.
The former world champion has found it difficult to find his best form since he was operated on for hip injury in January last year leading to his ATP ranking to plummet to 240th.
Murray, 31, was tearful as he announced his planned retirement ahead of the tour on Monday in Melbourne saying, "I'm not sure I'm able to play through the pain...I want to get to Wimbledon and stop but I'm not certain I can do that."
The three-time Gram Slam winner's performance was devastated by the injury last season and played only 14 matches through after returning to the court in June.
"I've been in a lot of pain for about 20 months now. I've pretty much done everything I could to try and get my hip feeling better and it hasn't helped loads."
However, it is certain that Murray will play the first-opening match against Roberto Bautista-Agut in Australian Open which technically might be his last.
