2019 Brisbane International: Andy Murray Knocked Out By Daniil Medvedev In Second Round
Andy Murray could not last longer than second round on his comeback, he was outlasted by Russia's Daniil Medvedev in Brisbane, Queensland on Wednesday.
The former world no. 1 was bidding for his third title at the tournament and beat James Duckworth in the first, before he was stopped by world no. 4 in their career first series.
Murray did well at the opening set as he overtook the Russian for the lead by 4-5 in the first set after claiming four out of five games. He later forfieted his chance to win when failed to convert a 40/15 break at 5-5, giving the set away to his opponent who proceeded to win the set
Medvedev had the upper hand at the second set and seemingly cruised through to beat the Briton in straight sets by 7-5, 6-2.
