Sport Illustrated Honours Golden States Warriors With Sportsperson of the Year Award

Golden States Warriors have been honoured with the Sportsperson of the Year award by the Sports Illustrated.
On Monday, the magazine's Editor in Chief, Chris Stone, announced this in a statement describing the winners as "impossible to overlook" amongst other contenders for the award given the influence they have on their sport.
Speaking about the franchise, Chris described the 16 players as "a generational phenomenon, the likes of which we might not see again for decades, if at all."
In response, Warriors President of Basketball Operations/GM Bob Myers said in a statement that "Collectively, we thank Sport Illustrated for this amazing honour and for acknowledging that teamwork is an imperative ingredient to success in sports and life."
Warriors' team join the like of Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky and Serena Williams who have won the award.
