Egypt And Liverpool Forward Mohammed Salah Wins BBC African Footballer of the Year
Liverpool and Egypt striker Mohammed Salah has for second straight year, won the BBC African Footballer of the Year.
Last season, he was voted Premier League's player of the year after scoring 44 goals in all competitions and finishing the season with most goals (32) to be the highest goal scorer.
"It's a great feeling to win again. I'm happy and I would like to win it also next year! So, I'm forward to it from now," says Salah.
Salah won most votes to beat other contenders like Sadio Mane (Senegal/Liverpool), Thomas Partey (Ghana/Atletico Madrid), Kalidou, Koulibaly (Senegal/Napoli) and Medhi Bentia (Morocco/Juventus).
Salah become the first player to win the award back-to-back after retired Nigerian international and Bolton midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha in 1994.
