Drake Resolves Case With Woman Over False Pregnancy, Assault Claims
Drake can now breath a sigh of relief over a court case between him and a woman name Layla Lace who claimed to be pregnant for him, as both parties are said to have found a way to resolved the case.
The issue between Drake and Layla dated back to 2017 when she claimed in an Instagram update that she was pregnant for the rapper. She also went on to allege him of rape which she told NY authorities about. That led Drake to file a lawsuit against her for defamation and extortion after awyer asked for money from him and threatened to sue him if he failed to comply.
But now that Layla has agreed to decease from going to trial nor ever republishing the allegation on Instagram, TMZ revealed rapper and his legal team have informed the court that the case has been resolved.
"The filing made by Drake against Layla Lace has been resolved, with Layla avoiding going to trial by agreeing to a stipulated judgement which prohibits her from repeating past statements she made against Drake," the rapper's lawyer Larry Stein told TMZ.
