Aquaman Reigns Atop At Box Office For Second Weekend In A Row With Worldwide Gross Of $748 Million

James Wan-directed superhero film "Aquaman" retained the no. 1 spot at the box office in its second weekend with a domestic gross of $51.55 million.
In the international market, it hauled in $85.4 million and that brings it to a total of $560 million in its second weekend - the largest chunk of gross is from China where it raked in $232.95 million.
However, despite performing below DCEU's expectation on its debut, its hauled an impressive global gross of $748.78 million, breaking the previous record set at the worldwide box office by Justice League ($658 million) in 2017.
In addition, it upset Suicide Squad ($746.8 million) to be DC Extended's fifth largest worldwide release after Wonder Woman ($821,847,012), Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ($863.6 million), Batman: The Dark Knight ($1billion) and Batman: The Dark Knight Rises ($1.084 billion). 
In the second place at the box office is Emily Blunt starring film "Mary Poppins Return" which pulled in $28 million from the domestic market in its second weekend, bringing its total domestic gross to $98.9 million.
Travis Knight's sci-fi action film Bumblebee dropped to third place with a second weekend gross of $20.5 million, totaling its domestic lifetime gross at $66.77 million. With $90 million from the international market, the closed the weekend with a worldwide gross of $156.7 million.
