Serge Ibaka Hits New Career-high, Leads Raptors To Beat Lakers
Serge Ibaka single-handedly led Toronto Raptors to beat Los Angeles Lakers at home, scoring a new career-high of 34 points to put his team in comfortable lead, as they progressed to wrap up the game to win by 107 - 121.
Lakers' woeful start in the first quarter, gave their opponents the smooth ride through to lead the first half by huge margin (49 -71) which they could make up with throughout the game.
"I was just focused. I just wanted to go out there and show up big time tonight," says Ibaka in post-match interview "It's true I played great, but we got a W. To me, that's most important."
The Congolese-Spanish whose previous career-high was 51.3 shooting percent and 7.2 rebounds per game, finished the game with 10 rebounds and 2 assists to set new personal best on average of 56.8 shooting percent and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Kyle Kuzma led the scores for Lakers with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists followed by LeBron James with 18 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists.
