Paris Masters 2018: Novak Djokovic Beats Roger Federer To Face Karen Khachanov In The Final

Novak Djokovic edges closer to claiming his fifth Paris Masters title as he won a hard-fought match with Roger Federer in the semi-finals.
After three hours of play, Djokovic battled through two tie breaks to win in three sets by 7-6(6) 5-7 7-6(3), extending his dominance over his Swiss opponent in their ATP FedEx series to 25:22.
At the opening set, the second seed engaged his forehand to force Federer to play to his dictate which he won after the set entered into a tie-break.
The Swiss came back stronger in second set and convert a break to claim the set. He held on through another tie in the decider, but Djokovic seized the game when Federer doubled faulted to give him 4-1 advantage and cruised on to win the match.
Had Federer reached the final, he would have been set for his 100th world tour-level titles. That is no longer in view at this event as Djokovic is into the final and is set to take Russian Karen Khachanov who won his game with Japan's Kei Nishikori in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
