Oprah Reveals Her "Favourite" Gift Items

As we count down to the festive season, obviously, many are already making a list of items they would pick up from stores or will be expecting as gifts. So, does Oprah Winfrey. She has list of items she likes to give out to her fans and things she would like to be given and they are those things anyone is familiar with.

In the latest edition of O, The Oprah Magazine, the 64-year-old talked about list of favourite of gifts she delights in to give out to her audience and those she has received.

She revealed in the magazine that it done upon her after years of hosting the famous Oprah show, that there are certain things she described as "Favourite Things" that makes her "a little cuckoo".

"Once upon a time, during the Oprah show days," she said in recall of hosting the show "I discovered some very comfy red-checkered flannel pajamas and some unbelievably cosy shearling-lined boots that kept my feet warm on even the most chilling Chicago days."

Narrating how she comes about her 'Favourite Things' she says, "When I ran out of people I knew, I wanted to keep sharing - with everyone who knew me."
"What started as an organic extension of wanting to treat people to some things I truly loved has turned into an annual list that takes a team to curate. I then go through every item, picking my favourites and narrowing the selection to my own."
She pointed out that given is not just a thing she does just for the reason of it, but when "the spirit of the giving is right" for her except giving out a flower on a birthday or for some outstanding achievements.
Amongst list of gift items she fancies she mentioned in the magazine, "I've given Beat headphones to girls from my South African school, Makeup kits from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Tickets for Beyonce and Jay-Z's On The Run II Tour...I've felt equally rewarded sharing a book of poetry or introducing a new author who inspired the recipient or elevated their thinking."
