Manchester City: Kevin De Bruyne Out For Six Weeks Due To Knee Ligament Injury
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne will be out of action for six week following an injury he sustained during the team's Carabao match against Fulham on Thursday.
The Belgium International who left the pitch limping, was later diagnosed with damaged his knee ligament, but as confirmed by his manager Pep Guardiola, the 27-year-old will not be undergoing surgery for the injury.
"Unfortunately he is injured, but fortunately he does not need surgery," says Guardiola, giving how long he will be out for he says "In between four and six weeks the doctors said will come back."
He has not started a match since the season commenced, and just come off an knee injury sustained during City's League match against Arsenal to play his first match since August.
Guardiola added saying, "Kevin was out for two and a half months, we are sad for him. When you come back you cannot expect on day one he will be the player we know he is."
The midfielder only started City's Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk and as substitute in all three Premier League appearances.
