LeBron James Sets New NBA Record As L.A Lakers Beat Trailer Blazers
It was an impressive outing for LeBron James as he past previous record set by Wilt Chamberlain to be fifth all-time highest scoring NBA player with 31,425 points.
The three-time NBA winner was sensation hitting multiple three pointers to lead Lakers to 126 - 117 win over Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
Blazers started off well in the first quarter, but Lakers soon rally back strongly to control the game from there after, and late into the game, LeBron tied Chamberlain's record with a free-throw and later past it as they proceed to win their fourth consecutive game.
Leading the scores, LeBron finished atop with 44 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assist followed by JaVale McGee with 20 points and four assists.
Having past Chamberlain's record, he now trail behind Michael Jordan (32, 292), Kobe Bryant (33, 643), Karl Malone (36, 928) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38, 387).
