Lakers End 16-Game Winless Run With Trail Blazers
Los Angeles Lakers did not find it easy to end their winless run with Portland Trail Blazers and had to reach for their best composure to win the game by 114 -110.
Blazers led the early part of the game before Lakers recovered and closed down the margin to fully control the early part of the second half with a huge margin (95 -75).
By the fourth quarter, Blazers fired up and reduced the margin to six points, but could not make up for the deficit as LeBron inspired his team on the attacker and in the last 2 seconds of the game, he tossed the ball in the air as Lakers ended their 16-game losing streak to Blazers.
The four-time MVP winner was largely instrumental to Lakers winning the game and in the end he led the score for his team with 28 points, with 5 rebounds and 7 assists, joined by Rajon Rondo who scored 17 points and completed 10 rebounds with 6 assists.
"Obviously, having LeBron there to close down those final few minutes was big," says Lakers manager Luke Walton and added that Rondo "orchestrated a beautiful game tonight. He always has the freedom to call what he wants, call what he sees."
