Lakers Beat Timberwolves 114 - 110 In Tyson Chandler's Debut
Chandler made an impressive debut appearance with Lakers, as he secured his first win with the team which came from behind to send their opponents away in defeat by 114-110 on Wednesday.
Timberwolves came close to snatching the game off Lakers which overtook them to lead by 111 - 104 late in fourth quarter, but Derrick Rose missed a three pointers in 0.5 seconds that could have turned the scores around. That miss resulted in a rebound for Lakers as Josh Hart was tripped by Jimmy Butler.
However, the visiting side scored 50% of their baskets from three pointers with most from Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, both who led the team with 31 points and 24 points respectively.
Lakers' Chandler, a Los Angeles native, said after the match, "I love this city the way they love me. When you're homegrown from here, go to school and all of that, and you have these same fans that have been watching and now you represent the jersey that everyone has been cheering for their entire lives, you kind of become one."
In the end, LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma lead Lakers scores with 24 and 21 points respectively as the team's new entry, Chandler, former NBA defender of the year scored two points and 9 rebounds.
