Jay-Z's 40/40 Club Sued By Attendant For Assault
A man has accused Jay-Z's New York-based sports bar and lounge, 40/40 Club, of being the reasons he was beating up at venue back in March and has dragged him to court asking for compensation.
The man in question, Jose Irizarry, claimed that he was all by himself when fight broke out between some attendants, and in an attempt to calm the situation, he was seriously brutalised as he was struck in the head and body, leaving him in pain such that it had to medicated.
As reported by the TMZ, Irizarry in his lawsuit, accused the club of inadequate security that can not manage the crowd at the venue. Otherwise, he would not have ended up assaulted in the brawl that broke out.
However, he is demanding that the club pay him medical expenses incurred after he was assault and the wages lost for having to look after himself because if there was enough security, he probably would not have to be the peacemaker the left him messed up.
