Europa League: Olivier Giroud Heads Chelsea Into Last 32
Chelsea maintain strong group lead and are guaranteed of a slot in Last 32 of the Europa League after winning at BATE Borisov by a lone goal.
Blues control the group table with 12 points, having made away with maximum points against Belarus side through Olivier Giroud who headed in Emerson's cross for the winning goal before an hour of play.
Speaking of the game afterwards, Maurizio Sarri said he is pleased with tge France international who scored his first goal of the season in Belarus.
"I'm pleased for him. He's a very important player for us," says Sarri and added " I don't want him to be worried avout scoring, because for us he's very important, very useful."
In Group L, Hungarian side Mol Vidi followed in second place with six points and PAOK Salonika lead BATE Borisov to be in third place.
