Champions League: Sergio Aguero's Header Levels Scores For Manchester City Against Lyon
Manchester City have booked a place in the round of Last 16 of the Champions League after playing a draw with Lique 1 side Lyon on Tuesday.
Lyon chances of walking away with maximum points was stolen by City's Sergio Aguero who equalised the lead minutes after Maxwel Cornet scored the second that could have sealed the game for the French side.
Both side went through the first half goalless, but it was different after the break with Cornet opening the scores for Lyon and that was followed by an equaliser from City's Aymeric Laporte with a header in 62nd minutes.
Cornet again put Lyon back in the lead after Memphis Depay set him off with a through pass.
Two minutes later, winning the match slid of Lyon as Sergio Aguero with a header pounded in Riyad Mahrez's cross to give City the much deserved equaliser in 83rd minutes.
In effect, City stay atop with 10 points in Group F as Lyon trailed behind with 7 points and in third place is Shakhtar Doneskt with 5 points while German side Hoffenheim remain im the bottom with 3 points.
