Champions League: Red Star Belgrade Stunningly Beat Liverpool
It was a disappointing match for Liverpool which loss to Red Star Belgrade by 2-0 in the Champions League group stage match.
The English side dominated the game, but Red Stars capitalised on their defensive error to and converted it to their advantage through Milan Pavkov.
After twenty minutes of play, Marko Marin curled in a cross from the corner, and Pavkov who was left unmarked in the box, slammed in a header to open the scores. He later followed that with 25-yard left footed shot to double the lead for his side.
Mo Salah came close to getting a goal for Liverpool with shot from inside the box, but that effort caught the bar and their fate was sealed thereafter, as they could not get an equaliser with the hosts which held strong their defensive to full time.
However, Liverpool lead the Group table with 6 points, but stand to lose the position if Napoli beat or draw with Paris St-Germain.
