Champions League: Gabriel Jesus Nets Hat-trick As Manchester City Beat Shakhtar Doneskt 6-0
City had the game well controlled over the Ukranian side which conceded two needless penalties that put them in a difficult situation, paving the way to their defeat by a huge margin.
David Silva led the scores for City, with ease he tapped home Mahrez's shot, and the second goal followed by Gabriel Jesus converting a penalty conceded by Matviyenko when Sterling was tripped the box.
Shortly after the break, Sterling curled a senasational right footed shot past two Donetsk's defenders through to top of the post to make it third for City.
The Ukranian side again conceded another penalty when David Silva was fouled by Stepanenko, and Jesus stroked in the spot kick for City's fourth goal.
Late into the game, the scores got wider as Mahrez smashed in a cross from Gundogan after a fast break, and Gabriel Jesus completed an hat-trick in injury time, lopped the ball over Doneskt's keeper after Mahrez located with a through ball in the box.
The Ukranians devastating defeat was compounded by conceding two penalties, if the first controversial, the second could have been avoid. However, they sure are obviously out of the competition as remain winless whilst City and Lyon maintain strong lead.
