2018 Nitto ATP Finals: Kevin Anderson Claims Easy Victory Over Kei Nishikori In Round Robin
What a day it was for Kevin Anderson against world no 9 Kei Nishikori, who stood no chance with him during the group stage match of Nitto ATP Finals on Tuesday.
The South African conveniently dominated the game converting five break points and 10 aces to his advantage to beat the Japanese in straight sets by 6-0, 6-1 within an hour of play.
The New York Open champion took a clean run through the first sets, and was set for yet another run through the second set when Kei managed to win a games after dropping five. He conceded defeat eventually when he shot a forehand long.
In less than a month, Kevin won his second fixture with Kei, who lost the bid for his first title of the season to him in the final of the Erste Bank Open in October.
In the next match, the Japanese, Kei, will face Austrian Dominic Thiem in his final round-robin match, on Thursday.
