Usain Bolt Turns Down Offer From Maltese Side Valletta FC
As Usain Bolt's pursuit to be a professional football player is gradually materialising, he seemed not ready to accept an offer after he turned down two-year contract from Maltese side Valletta FC.
The eight Olympic gold medallist currently trains with Australian side Central Coast Mariners, and now has two goals in his record as he scored two goal during a friendly match.
His agent Ricky Simms told ESPN that his client does not have interest to "pursue this Malta opportunity."
Giving his reasons he explained that many others have shown interest in the retired track and field champion stating that they "regularly receive similar approaches."
Just as Simms, the 32-year-old wants to focus on his training with the Australian side and clarified that he is at the moment seeking to get a contract.
Valleta cheif executive Ghasston Slimen in statement, maintained their position that the opportunity is "always on the table" for the Jamaican to pick up any time he wants. They wish him well in his new career pursuit.
