Rolex Shanghai Masters 2018: Novak Djokovic Cruises Through To Quarter-finals As He Eliminates Marco Cecchinato In Third Round
Novak Djokovic had a cruise over Marco Cecchinato in the third round series of Rolex Shanghai Masters, knocking him out in straight sets for his slot in the quarter-finals.
The three-time champion had his Italian opponent well dominated over as he dictated the match, claiming four break points and a clean sheet in the second set to have him eliminated in straight sets by 6-4, 6-0.
Djokovic's performance has improved incredibly since his recovery from elbow injury and has won three titles this season that include Wimbledon and Western & Southern Cincinnati Open.
In his next match, he is set to take on South African player Kevin Anderson who defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets 6-4, 7-6(1).
In another draw, British no. 1 Edmund Kyle has also reached the quarter-finals after his R3 victory over Nicolas Jarry in straight sets 7-6(5), 6-4, and will meet Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals.
